Riding the Waves to Eternity: Hangin’ with the Cosmic Surfer

Bless My Cotton Socks

It was lovely weather today so I took the opportunity to take a walk under clear skies along the old railway line, my usual route from early in lockdown. As I think I mentioned last time I was down there, there has been a lot of ground clearance of shrubs and trees carried out, and my general feeling is that it has gone too far. On the other hand, the snowdrops were out on the cleared ground, and I suspect a lot of the cleared bushes will grow back soon anyway.

The path was very busy though, with plenty of folks walking, jogging and, occasionally, cycling. That’s in large part why I prefer to walk in the evening when people are inside, but the chance to walk in the sun for a while was too enticing to pass up.

I wrote up a couple of 1971 music posts when I got home, including one for one of the best albums of 1971 (in a strong field): David Crosby’s If I Could Only Remember My Name.

As I was writing this, the Prime Minister was on telly talking about a roadmap out of lockdown for England. I didn’t watch it, but will be interested to see what is said about Scotland tomorrow.
