Take it Quick
The snow has gone, and very quickly. I wouldn’t go so far as to say spring is here, but it is a balmy 8 degrees at present. The lawn had a couple of holes dug by badgers overnight too, so they’re obviously up and about.
The nice thing about snow and ice-free pavements is that I was able to go for a walk earlier today without any risk of slip sliding away, as one or two neighbours did. Otherwise today was much of a muchness, with this morning spent reading and this afternoon spent revising, with a couple of episodes of Westworld thrown in for good measure.
I did have a look at the news. My eye was caught by a report that the incidence of Covid world-wide is dropping sharply. I’d like that to be true, but couldn’t find the data behind it. Maybe tomorrow. I also saw reported remarks by Mr D*m*n*c C*mm*ngs in a judical review relating to contracts awarded without competition to his mates. Again, I haven’t seen the full context or other evidence brought in the case, but his comment to the effect that, while he couldn’t instruct civil servants he nonetheless expected to be obeyed, look helpful to the team bringing the review.
