More sugar

Another post up in the Diabetes and Me tab, this one featuring a particularly good/gross health ad from New York City.
The new post – Sugar, the Gateway Drug – links to a couple of films on the subject of sugar and hyper-processed foods. Sugary drinks appear in both films, though they’re more of a focus of the lecture from California. The post is slightly mis-titled. I was originally going to call it Sugar, the Great Satan but went for the more restrained option. It occurs to me now, though, that sugar isn’t the gateway drug but is the mainline event.
Meantime, I seem to be pretty much out of whatever it was that laid me low. That’s a relief as I can get on with daily life again. Annoyingly, given that I’m supposed to be retired, I have quite a long to-do list, almost all of it related to writing.
