At 16.27 UK, or thereabouts, CNN called Pennsylvania, and therefore the election, for Joe Biden. All around us the planet is deep in trouble, people are getting sick and dying, and Brexit is still a shitshow. But a moment of good news amidst the gloom doesn’t go amiss; the Death Star has been destroyed and the ewoks are dancing (yes, I know the First Order rises from  the ashes of the Empire, but let’s ignore that for now).

And that’s it; no more needs to be said today.
