Riding the Waves to Eternity: Hangin’ with the Cosmic Surfer

I haven’t got a lot to say tonight and plan to turn the laptop off and go and read a book soon. That’s a rock’n’roll Saturday night, kids

The cycle ride went well this morning, with a bit of a sprint for the last 4 minutes. On my walk this evening I encountered two foxes and chatted with a neighbour, keeping our 2 metres apart while an elderly couple made a conspiculously wide detour around us. The final part of the walk (6.5 minutes uphill) was good too. My aim on that section is to end up breathless and, er, I succeeded 🙂

Other than that, and a long phone call with someone I haven’t spoken to for a while, not a great deal happened except I prepared a longer post, that may go up here tomorrow night once I’m happy with it. While drafting it, I listened to BeBop Deluxe (Modern Music) and to John Coltrane (Blue Train) in the shed. Which was nice.

The hair is still purple: so far so good.

Last night’s music proved remarkably popular. I was going to put up some early Coltrane tonight, but rather than spoil the mood, here’s Mary Chapin Carpenter instead:
