Misty Moisty Mornings
The picture to the right was taken from our front bedroom window last Monday morning when we woke to the first frost of the year which was slowly evaporating away as the sun rose. I like the way that Edinburgh lies hidden with just the Pentlands poking up beyond the valley.
I had meant to post earlier in the week but life got in the way a bit both in terms of home life and work. A number of things have been happening and it hasn’t been helped especially by the dosage of one of my BP tablets going up on Tuesday which has left me feeling a little spaced out for a couple days as I’ve adjusted to it.
In addition I have one of the experimental Google Wave accounts to explore and play with.
I first encountered Wave back in June when I watched the YouTube video of their presentation to developers. At the time I thought that it pointed a significant way forward and that the architecture – particularly the wave protocol – marks an important step forward (and I have the date stamped emails to prove that I thought that!). Having used it, even with the bugs which are in the developer version, I stick by that view. Even after a couple of days I find that its functionality is becoming my assumed default and I am getting frustrated that I can’t edit emails that I’ve just sent, for example, in the way that I can do in a Wave.
