typos ahoy
This 1961 Facit TP1 typewriter arrived today, in need of a good clean. I’ve made a start, but still have work to do.
However, once the last of the gunge is cleaned from its innards, I can tell already that it will be the tool I’ve been looking for. All I have to do now is reacquaint myself with using that style of keyboard.
Is this the end for the search for the perfect machine? No – I’ve caught the bug, but it means I can cast my eye around for something special – or something really portable – or buy a professionally restored machine rather than keep my eye on eBay and charity shops and hope for the best.
