I’m breaking silence to wish Lindsay a happy birthday.
There are plenty of other reasons to break silence too, but Lindsay’s birthday is a good one for today. Everyday and in every way she just gets more awesome.

Rain Commentary pt II
In these circumstances there are limited options – work, read, play guitar, watch dumb DVDs or cook. I’m going to do most of these in the course of the day but for the moment there is bread in preparation and I’m marinading diced lamb in beer. All being well there’ll be a lamb casserole type thing for tea with fresh bread to soak up the gravy.

I posted back on 16 June about the persistent rain. It has rained more or less continuously since then and we have the prospect of another couple of weeks worth to come.
